A Brief Trip Through the Book of James
This podcast tries ( and nearly succeeds ) to skim through the book of James for the express purpose of putting James 4 in it's proper context. To better understand James 4, you really should remember that Jimmy had just written James 1 through James 3. It seems silly that I would even have to mention that fact, but it is amazing how many times we get hung up on scriptures without reading the book that the scripture comes from. We live in a "sound-bite" world, where it is popular to take some phrase someone mentioned, and judge their intentions purely on that. We can't afford to do that with the spirit of the living God. I love the book of James and hopefully this, and the next podcast, will give you the same appreciation for it.

How To Ask Amiss
I challenge you to find someone that has used the word "amiss" in the last month when discussing something OTHER than prayer. It is one of those lovely church words that we only use when we talk about "Godly" things. The reason it is not in your everyday language, is because you're not comfortable enough with it's meaning. This podcast breaks down James 4 and continues our previous discussion on this topic.

It's time for the rebuttal from the opposition party. When I preach about the open-ended promises that Jesus gave us, invariably I am asked the question, "What if I am asking amiss?". I just love tradition.
